CBS's Limitless - "Finale: Part One!"

I've heard actors say, "You have to move to [another city] to book a gig in [current city]" and that's what happened with my first LA TV credit...that shot in New York!

I'm on the next episode of CBS's drama series "Limitless" and play a reporter on location at the Bronx Zoo. I love reporter roles and had a great time working in NYC!

FOX's The Following - "Exposed"

If you watch FOX's drama series "The Following" starring Kevin Bacon, you'll spot me in the next episode on Monday night (3/16 at 9pm)! I play a reporter during a press conference.

In the trailer after HMU (hair & makeup)

On the day of the shoot, I happened to get my makeup done at the same time as Kevin Bacon and he very nicely introduced himself to me. We shook hands and everything. So now I have only one degree of separation from Kevin Bacon!

Are You Famous Yet? Podcast

Clockwise from top left: Nilsa, me, Bryn, RUFY icon, Laura, and Jake!

I was a guest on the Are You Famous Yet? podcast!

Hosted by two couples Jake Laura Scruggs in Chicago and Bryn Packard & Nilsa Reyna in New York, the podcast started as a way for Bryn to stay in touch with Jake after moving to NYC, and they've expanded to include actors in both cities as guests. I met Nilsa in Chicago through a show at Halcyon Theatre so we go WAY back.

I'm in Episode 56 "Christine Lin Has Engineered A Career in Performance," which you can also download through their website with show notes & fun links or iTunes. Twitter: @RUFYPod - Thanks, guys!

A Commercial on Celebrity Apprentice

An engineering co-worker thought he saw me on last night's episode of Celebrity Apprentice and it's TRUE. (Thanks for letting me know, Alan!)

I was one of three actresses in a commercial the men's team Vortex put together for technology company Neat. Unfortunately my lines with professional baseball player Johnny Damon got cut but at least I didn't get fired!

I'm in Episode 2 of Season 7 "Nobody Out Thinks Donald Trump" at about 22 minutes.

Here are screenshots and the lovely actresses I worked with: Keisha Zollar & Jasmine Lobe

More (racial) Bennett Cerf Jokes on Youtube

Here are two of my latest Bennett Cerf videos where the 1950s jokes get racial...!

I was pretty nervous to tell Chinese Stories and Negro Stories but I think you'll find the jokes (and the attitudes they reveal) as interesting as I did. We especially dug in to the Negro Stories; there was just so much to unpack!

Special thanks to Clara and Ebony for listening and sharing their thoughts. Happy watching and don't forget to subscribe!

Bennett Cerf Jokes on YouTube

I've created a new YouTube channel:!

A few months ago, I came across this little joke book by Bennett Cerf and was tickled by the idea of telling the jokes to friends and recording their reactions. Published in 1956, Bennett Cerf's Vest Pocket Book of Jokes has a wide variety of jokes that have produced an equally vast range of reactions: amusement, confusion, surprise, delight, disappointment - I love them all!

Here's one of the first jokes I told to my friend Claire about English Stories:

I had so much fun capturing and editing these videos (and recording the theme song!) and plan on making more!  Don't forget to subscribe to the channel to get notified of new ones!

What the Bennett Cerf Jokes Channel is all about.

NBC's The Blacklist - "The Pavlovich Brothers"

I'm really excited to be on the next new episode of The Blacklist April 21st at 10/9c on NBC!

I play a nurse (look for white hats!) in the first few minutes of the episode called "The Pavlovich Brothers" (Season 1, Episode 19)

I already watch the show (LOVE James Spader) and was really pumped for the audition - there's medical action, Chinese,...and the casting director remarked, "Wow, you look so strong! I want you to be MY nurse." I was more than happy to oblige!

Here are some shots taken from the (very cold) day of the shoot with some awesome NYC actors aka new friends: Natalie KimAngel Pai, and Ruy Iskandar

4000 Miles at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park

I am SO excited to be playing the roles of Amanda and Lily in Amy Herzog's award-winning play 4000 Miles (Obie Award for Best New American Play, Pulitzer Prize Finalist). I'm currently in rehearsals with fellow castmates Rosemary PrinzRobbie Tann, and Adina Verson, directed by Cincy Playhouse artistic director Blake Robison.

Thompson Shelterhouse at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park

From the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park website:

Named "the best play of the season" by Time Magazine4000 Miles is a heartwarming exploration of growing up, growing old and discovering the moments in-between. It's the middle of the night when 21-year-old Leo shows up dazed and disheveled at his feisty 91-year-old grandmother's Greenwich Village apartment. While his arrival marks the end of a life-changing cross-country bike trip, Leo's journey is far from over. These unlikely roommates infuriate, bewilder and ultimately connect as they find their way in the world.

"A funny, moving, altogether wonderful drama ... A heartening reminder that a keen focus on life's small moments can pay off in a big way onstage." – The New York Times

Watch BIG WORDS on Netflix!

Neil Drumming's indie dramedy finished its international tour and theatrical release and is now available on Netflix! I play Mina and may or may not be skilled at rolling blunts.

From indiewire, here's the synopsis: "The Brooklyn-set Big Words centers on members of a once-promising hip-hop group, now in their late 30's, struggling with regret, disappointment and change, set against the backdrop of Election Night, 2008 - when Barack Obama was elected."

Here are a few stills from the movie. Happy streaming!

Quick and Dirty

I'm so happy I got to work again with writer/director and awesome friend Braden LuBell in his new webseries Quick and Dirty! Braden wrote and directed the play Days of Late in Chicago.

For Quick and Dirty, I shot an intense episode in Boston with the wonderful and lovely Anne Adams, where a jilted wife (Anne) confronts her husband's fling (me)!

I learned a lot from working with Braden on some very meaty dialog and hope to have an opportunity to do it again very soon!

Listen Up Philip

I'm playing a grad student in Alex Ross Perry's new indie feature Listen Up Philip. My scene - opposite the inimitable Jason Schwartzman! - was scheduled for their last day of shooting so everyone was especially enjoying being together on set. Alex shoots on actual film, not digitally, and I can't wait to see what it will look like!

The movie is currently in post-production and hopefully released soon!

Here I am after I wrapped with Jason and Alex! Don't I look JUST like a grad student?
